A Special General Body Meeting (SGM) of the members of the Kanara Catholic Association will be held at 5.00 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2016, on the 1st Floor Hall at the KCA Premises in Bandra (W), Mumbai. The Notice, Agenda & Explanatory Statement can be downloaded below. Please note that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been planned for September 25, 2016. We will keep you updated on this via separate communication. This SGM is being held with the single point Agenda of reviewing & approving the expenditure on Repairs & Renovations carried out during the period February - April 2016. Some KCA members felt that given the large sum involved, the Managing Council should discuss with the General Body in an SGM, the circumstances & nature of the Repairs & Renovations and the same should not be combined with the AGM agenda, even though the AGM is due to be held in a few weeks. Accordingly, the Managing Council, in keeping with the spirit of the KCA Rules & Regulations, agreed that a separate General Body meeting should be held, seeking General Body approval on this matter. 40 members attended the SGM, in line with the average attendance of 41 for General Body Meetings held from 2001 onwards. The Resolution was passed with 39 members for and 1 against. The draft Minutes of Meeting (MoM) is available for download below. The final MoM will be adopted at the AGM to be held on September 25, 2016. The minutes have been circulated to all those who attended the meeting for their information & concurrence. Objections or changes from members should reach the KCA within 2 weeks of receipt of the draft minutes. The MoM is also being circulated to all members of the Association for their information. |
