Sports at KCA

Sports has been an important part of the KCA with the 'Sports Club', first set-up in 1918, when the KCA put a cricket team in the local league!

Today, sports at KCA, Mumbai, primarily revolves around its badminton court facility, which is frequented by badminton enthusiasts.  The sporting facilities provided by KCA have recently been enhanced to include a table tennis table and board games, and in the near future, would include gym facilities.  We are confident that these facilities would provide a greater reason for Members and Guests to visit and utilize facilities of the KCA, and also motivate sports enthusiasts to subscribe to the KCA sporting facilities.

Monthly fees (for a 1 hour session per day):
Members: Rs 100
Guests: Rs 300

Members & Guests are advised to pay their monthly fees well in advance.

After all, improving the physical well-being of Members and Guests is one of the Aims and Objectives of the KCA.

Note on 'Sports Club'

posted Jun 25, 2016, 7:48 AM by IT Administrator   [ updated Jun 26, 2016, 1:45 AM ]

As a matter of clarification, it is being emphasised, that the Managing Council has decided not to revive the 'Sports Club' as envisaged by Rule 25(b) of KCA Rules & Regulations.  All sports activities will be planned & managed by the Sports sub-committee, thereby ensuring that sports is given its due importance & sporting activities do not suffer in any way.

Accordingly, although Rule 25(b) of KCA Rules & Regulations require that the Chairperson of the 'Sports Club' be designated a Vice President of the Association, the same is not applicable at this stage.  If & when the 'Sports Club' is revived, the Chairperson appointed at that time, will be designated as KCA Vice President. (Similar decision has been taken for St Anthony's League)
